Skilled Migration Sub-classes

Skilled Independent Subclass (189)

Permanent visa, no need to get any sponsorship from state or family.

Skilled Nominated Subclass (190)

Australian State or Territory sponsored permanent visa.

Skilled Regional (Provisional) Subclass (489)

A provisional visa (for up to 4 years) allows you to live in specified areas, you will need sponsorship from an Australian state or territory / Australian relative living in a specified area. 

Skilled Regional (Permanent) Subclass (887)

The permanent visa granted after Subclass (489) if the applicant meets all conditions as per their provisional visa.

Temporary (Graduate) Subclass (485)

International students may apply for this subclass after completing 2 years of study in Australia.

Skilled Recognised (Graduate) Subclass (476)

Recent engineering graduates of recognised institutions may apply for this visa to gain up to 18 months of skilled work experience.
